68,000 MINNESOTANS SERVED IN VIETNAM.
MORE THAN 1,100 DIED.
MANY ARE STILL MISSING.
THEIR AVERAGE AGE WAS 19 YEARS.
MANY HAVE SINCE DIED DUE TO PTSD,
AGENT ORANGE EXPOSURE, AND OTHER CAUSES.
The individuals listed as Missing in Action are noted in the directory by the letters MIA in the far-right column. These individuals are officially listed as either Prisoner of War (POW), Missing in Action (MIA), or Killed in Action/Body Not Recovered (KIA/BNR). We are using the letters MIA as a generic indicator for all three categories.
